This place for meat lover and oldie glam decor venue. It's is in old building that still have chandeliers hanging throughout the place. And glass behind the since grill station here you can see how they prep the meats. Also the bar is just divine and you just want to dress up to be there for cocktails and great chats. Oh did i mention that the owners are Curtis Stone and his brother Luke. Just saying. But seriously, the foods are great and the drinks just fantastic and of course the service is top notch. My kid ate everything and literally cleaned all the dish plates. The downside of it are parking (street parking) and a hole in your wallet but it worth it.

Took my husband here for his bday and he was not disappointed! Loved the food, experience and overall ambiance. We sat at the bar and enjoyed watching chefs prepare our food. House made charcuterie offered a variety of delicious in house made meats. Oysters, tuna and beef tartar were simply delicious. Definitely a must get items. The highlight, however was the boneless wagyu ribeye (added a side of duck fat potatoes) cooked perfectly and just melted in your mouth! There is also a small butcher shop before the main restaurant that offers beautiful cuts of meat. Unfortunately when we got there, the shop was closed but definitely want to go back to purchase some and make it at home!

The food was amazing, service was great and loved the ambiance. I was invited for an intimate dinner for 10 for a work function. They had a side room they reserved for us. Our starters included a proccuito charcuterie platter, very warm and perfectly baked French bread and three items, which my favorite was the grilled octopus al pastor. We all ordered the NY strip medium rare, perfect, the side potatoes is a must. Ended our meal with an amazing dessert, sweet potato with things like anise, pistachios and this amazing bone marrow caramel sauce. I don't see it on any menu they have posted, but if they have it, give it a go! Amazing place to eat.

If you love meat come here. In the heart of Hollywood is gorgeous Gwen. The first thing you notice are the huge sparkling glass chandeliers and of course the hanging meats behind the glass which they cure themselves. What's really impressive is that they don't use any gas to cook just charcoal. Also they bring out a box of knives for you to select from. I chose the deer handle knife with the blade recycled from a Volkswagen so our waiter said. Felt more like a Benz. Only complaint is that the portions are quite small. Enough to satisfy a child but not enough for me and I'm not a big person. But I shall return. Until next time chao mein.

I've been wanting to check out a Curtis Stone restaurant and I haven't had a good steak at a restaurant recently so when I heard that Gwen earned a Michelin Star, I had to check it out. Appetizer: 1) Peaches - excellent! Cheese paired with very ripe peaches 2) Charcuterie - I loved every piece but the pate was my favorite Main: New York Strip - Perfectly seasoned and very tender. Probably the best New York Strip that I've had so far. Sides: Corn cheese - can't go wrong. It's like a fancy elote. Duck Fat Potatoes - so flavorful and very crispy! It came piping hot. Service: EXCELLENT. Server took care of everything promptly and the food was timed perfectly.

I was super excited to try this Michelin star restaurant on my recent trip to Los Angeles. We came on a Friday night with a reservation we made weeks prior. Inside and outside (covered patio) seating was available. They were pretty packed on Friday night so I would definitely make a resy if you decide to stop by! To start off I ordered a spicy margarita and we ordered the vegetable appetizer (I don't remember the name) but it was super good and the perfect start to our meal. They brought complementary bread and butter and OMG. People in the reviews were not lying when they say this is the best bread and butter around. Truly amazing bread and butter I am still thinking about it a week later. We filled up on bread so we ended up splitting one of their Japanese wagyu specials. These will cost you a pretty penny ($195 for 10 oz) but man IT IS SO GOOD. It was cooked exactly to our liking, seasoned perfectly, and just melted in your mouth. They also let you pick the knife you want to use to cut your steak which I thought was a very nice touch. To go with our steak we ordered the duck fat potatoes. Like others have said, they are pretty salty but honestly taste amazing. Nice and crisp on the outside and perfectly soft on the inside. We loved them! Service here was good. Our drinks took some time to come out but other than that our waiter was super on top of it, friendly, and happy to answer all the questions we have. The restaurant was very trendy and decorated very nicely with chandeliers brightening up the dim room.

Love the vibe of Gwen the butcher shop and the restaurant has a Michelin star. It is quite a cozy environment with different spaces for your style - they have bright ambiance, darker cozy and even bar seating by the pizza oven. The main section of the dining room has two large chandliers as well. All the staff there are super nice and attentive and always ready to assist with any questions or requests. The portions are on the smaller side but nonetheless the ingredients were all fresh and picked for the best quality. Of all the items I tried, the steak was fantastic as well as the butternut squash Agnolotti pasta was a standout here. Love to come here again to try out a larger mix of their menu items and report back.
